I was talking to an elderly neighbor of mine that I check up on to see if she needs anything( plus she owns a very clean '99 E300 Turbodiesel a very jalop car) and her friend mentioned that a white mitusbish was stolen the other night from a neighbor.
I know the car, it was a very clean and very tuned white Evo. I had spoken to the owner when he still had his STi and he said he was selling the STi for an Evo. She said he had saved up for some time to buy the car and to have it stolen right from under him is horrible. He couldn't park it in the garage since it already had two cars in it.
She said she saw three people dressed in black around the car early in the morning but didn't really think much of it because a lot of people in our town home development work odd hours and it wasn't until a Sheriffs deputy knocked on the door did she realize that they stole the car. The deputy also mentioned a second Evo was stolen the same night a couple of miles away.
I bet the guy was targeted because it was an Evo. I doubt they will find the car or if they do it will probably be stripped. Man that sucks.

That sucks for them. Glad you are keeping an eye on the neighbors and neighborhood.

They have my sympathies, and also a hope that karma truly is a bitch to the offenders. My cell phone was swiped at work today, and it's a bare bones, non-smartphone from over four years ago. Fuck thieves of all varieties.

That sure sucks. The worst theft I've ever experienced was someone breaking into my mother's Honda Odyssey and stealing loose change inside and nothing else, but left my father's BMW alone. They also left the door open, and it drained the battery to almost nothing, so we needed a new one later on that year, it got to the point that it needed a boost every time it needed to start.

Thanks! My MINI is thankfully in the shop and I have a loaner but I have a feeling my car isn't terribly valuable plus I usually park it right between two Suv's.
But in the vent of anything I cN easily run to the window and see what's going on and call the police. Plus a mossberg 500 is always a good deterrent.

That sucks. Car thieves are horrible. I guess it kind of does make sense to look like a douche nozzle and get that detachable steering hub just as an extra piece of theft deterrent. Hopefully the Evo will turn up with minimal damage or just be totaled out and hope he has it fully insured and is insured for any expensive hop-up parts.
